Accounts Executive
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1.Full Set / Partial Accounts Management
- Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) or assigned accounting functions
- Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems
- Maintain general ledger and ensure proper account classification
- Perform monthly closing and reconciliation
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents
- Prepare payment vouchers and execute payments
- Maintain vendor records and reconcile statements
- Ensure timely payments and proper documentation
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Issue invoices and receipts to customers
- Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments
- Maintain accurate debtor records and aging reports
- Handle customer billing inquiries
4. Bank & Reconciliation
- Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
- Reconcile intercompany balances (if applicable)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
5. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules
- Generate reports such as:
- Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
6. Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in tax submissions (e.g., SST, GST, withholding tax if applicable)
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents
7. Administrative & System Support
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Ensure data accuracy in accounting systems (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Support implementation of accounting systems or process improvements
Key Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–4 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
