Accounts Executive

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1.Full Set / Partial Accounts Management

  • Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) or assigned accounting     functions
  • Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper account classification
  • Perform monthly closing and reconciliation


2. Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents
  • Prepare payment vouchers and execute payments
  • Maintain vendor records and reconcile statements
  • Ensure timely payments and proper documentation


3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Issue invoices and receipts to customers
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Maintain accurate debtor records and aging reports
  • Handle customer billing inquiries


4. Bank & Reconciliation

  • Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Reconcile intercompany balances (if applicable)
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies


5. Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules
  • Generate reports such as:
       
    • Profit & Loss
    •  
    • Balance Sheet
    •  
    • Cash Flow
  •  
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes


6. Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Assist in tax submissions (e.g., SST, GST, withholding tax if     applicable)
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents


7. Administrative & System Support

  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Ensure data accuracy in accounting systems (e.g., SQL, Xero,     QuickBooks)
  • Support implementation of accounting systems or process improvements
Key Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–4 years of accounting experience
  • ‍Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
